The last release can be used in threads?

I need to execute some gets without bocking the application and i want to know if is possible to use threads in the last release?

I have just achieved this. Just start the fetching off in a different thread, and hook up the events.

You can find an example of using it with thread using mono and gtk#.
All ftp stuff is in a thread
