simple code sample?

hi, I'm new to Java and need to write a small utility to retrieve a file via ftp. I'm working in Linux and after downloading the tarball and unpacking it, don't know how to run the tests.

also, I cannot seem to find a simple piece of code that shows how I can use these classes. can anyone please help?

Take a look at the test package in the source distribution. It has loads of JUnit tests and also a simple test.

PS there is a box to tick called "Notify me when a reply is posted" if you have registered with an email address.
