We have a C#.NET product which we distribute the edtFTPnetPRO.dll file.  We are just updating from a 9.0 version to 11.1.1.0.

What wording should be included in our installer's license screen to reflect the use of this product?
What files should be distributed with the software?

I have examined the license agreement page in the Help.  It mentions a license.txt file and talks about some specific wording that should be included.  I also found a copyright.txt which says it should be distributed along with the software.

Currently, I have something like this:

A portion of this software, the library, edtFTPnet.dll, is licensed under the Lesser GNU Public License (LGPL) from Enterprise Distributed Technologies Pty Ltd.  It is used without modification under this license.  To view more information about the LGPL or about this library, go to the web site: http://www.enterprisedt.com/products/edtftpnet/overview.html.  The provider of this library requires the following disclaimer:

THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED ``AS IS'' AND ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY PERSON WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED TO OR IS THE OWNER OF ANY PART OF THIS SOFTWARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

Furthermore, the following copyright notices also apply to this file:

Parts of this software Copyright © 2004-2018 Enterprise Distributed Technologies Ltd. All Rights Reserved.

Parts of this software Copyright © 2000 - 2018 The Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Parts of this software Copyright © 2002-2003, The KPD-Team. All Rights Reserved

Parts of this software Copyright © 2004, Routrek Networks. All Rights Reserved

Parts of this software Copyright © 2002, Chew Keong Tan. All Rights Reserved

Parts of this software Copyright © 2006, ComponentAce. All Rights Reserved

And plan to include the copyright.txt file

It's a bit unclear here whether you are referring to edtFTPnet.dll (open source) or edtFTPnetPRO.dll (not open source). Can you clarify?

edtFTPNetPRO.dll

Having reviewed: https://enterprisedt.com/products/edtftpnetpro/doc/manual/html/licenseagreement.html again, I've removed the Lesser GNU Public License reference entirely

In the software's About dialog and installer's license dialog, I've kept the copyright messages (with hyperlinks) per section 6.1 of the license agreement webpage and a reference to a file called copyright.txt that was installed along with edtFTPNetPro.  I couldn't find the license.txt file mentioned in section 6.2.

The copyright messages follow a link to my company's EULA.

Further to that, the same copyright messages and the disclaimer in section 6.9 of the license web page will be included in the software's manual.

Thanks, that's all that is required (the Pro DLL is not GNU). license.txt == copyright.txt, will get that fixed.
