There is still no support in version 7.2.3
Is there any chance that it will be supported in new versions?

Yes, it just hasn't been high priority - we decided ECDSA support was more important as it had wider usage.

Our highest priorities right now are ECDSA certificate support and TLS 1.3.  ED25519 will be next in line.
