Hi,

We are using edtFTPnetPRO 8.3.1.20 version in a web application hosted at IIS Windows 2008. And it is working fine.

Now we are trying to upgrade our server to Windows 2016. When we try to connect, we are getting "System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." error message.

Is this a known error for windows 2016? We have got the trace logs. If it is necessary we can share the detailed logs with you.

Edit : When we change app pool to "32 bit enabled" , it is fixed. However we dont want to use "32 bit enabled". Is there any solution?

Thanks.

We have a “edtFTPnet/PRO Lifetime Updates/Support Upgrade for Individual Developer License” license. How can we download the latest version?

Hi Stuart,

Our web application is built by .NET 2.0.

When we try to use edtFTPNetPro 9.5.0.40,  the below error occurs :

"Could not load file or assembly 'edtFTPNetPro' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded"

Is the latest edtFTPNetPro version compatible with .NET 2.0 ?

Thanks

No,  9.3.0 is the last version that supports .NET 2.0 - try this one if you need a .NET 2.0 compatible version.

Than, 9.3.0 is ok with "System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." problem?

Here's the release history:

https://enterprisedt.com/products/edtftpnetpro/doc/manual/html/history.html

An issue like you are describing was fixed in 8.6.1, in 2014.

Ok, we tried to use 9.3.0 version. Still the same problem :

"System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

Do you need the log file for further investigation ?

Yes, you'll need to open a support ticket and supply the debug log, see
