This is usually an option left to the client, as clients typically resume the transfer with the partially uploaded file.

However, you can also configure the server to use an event to delete the partially uploaded file. Here’s an example of moving a file once it is uploaded. You could modify this to trigger only on failure and delete the file instead of moving it.

Getting KnownHosts.KnownHostsFile or ServerValidation from application manifest

I am using WinAutomation 9.2.4.5905 which uses edtFTPnetPRO.dll for SFTP connections.
I am getting the error "System.Exception: No known hosts provided - use SecureFTPConnection.KnownHosts to add some (safe), or set ServerValidation to None (unsafe)" but there is no way to set these properties in WinAutomation.
Since WinAutomation is not supported anymore, I wonder if I can set any of those properties in the appSettings section in the application manifest instead in order to force edtFTPnetPRO to use those settings?

CompleteFTP's web-based FileManager is able to share files in the manner you're describing. If you need a user interface exactly like you're describing then you can develop it with CompleteFTP (see here). Our server-side scripting language is JSS, which is Javascript + an extensive API for integrating with CompleteFTP and performing common operations. Although it's not currently documented, the API does allow integration with CompleteFTP's file-sharing system, allowing you to manage user shares, including creating new ones. We'd be happy to advise you on how to get started on your development project.

Using a gateway you can already store all files on the private server, but until version 12.1.5 if you wanted to keep all user accounts on the private server then you could only authenticate them via password. From version 12.1.5, which will be released in early February (2020), you'll be able to authenticate users by public key as well. In other words, you'll be able to keep all files and users account on the private server and authenticate using a public key. The only key that you'll need to store in the DMZ is the DMZ server's own private key.

1- What is the maximum file size that can be transfered ( download / upload ) via (S)FTP with CompleteFTP solution ( because we plan to have files larger than 1TB to transfer ) ?

We Support file sizes greater than 4 GB [All editions].

2- Does CompleteFTP Solution also have a WEB Portal or it is only application interface like Winscp

CompleteFTP has a highly versatile and customizable web login page (please see here) and filemanager (please see here) which can be accessed through HTTP/HTTPS. You can customize the login page and our web features include custom commands, SAML (SSO) and a choice of 2 different filemanagers. HTTP header fields can be customized with x-frame options and more. 3- Is it possible to install CompleteFTP Server in a DMZ on a master server which will manage many files server and VMs (virtual machine) or Conatiners?

You would need our Enterprise Edition for this as 'clustering' would be required. You can see more on this here and here.

4- Does CompleteFTP Server solution only work in a standalone file server, I mean in a one to one relationship ?

No, it can be used in clusters and for load balancing etc.

5- We already have SSO solution implemented within the organisation and it provides integration using options like SAML, Open ID Connect, OAuth 2.0 etc. Does CompleteFTP provide option to integrate with 3rd party authentication providers?

Yes, SAML (SSO) is included with CompleteFTP - see here
Other authentication methods are available including gateway authentication (see here), external database authentication (see here)

6- Does CompleteFTP has an option to create multiple sites within the same server using different protocols?

Yes, you can do this but only in our 'Enterprise Edition'. Please see here.

7- Is there any option within CompleteFTP to encrypt data at rest?

Yes, encryption at rest is possible but only in our Enterprise Edition. Please see here.

8- Does user have to use same password for authentication to CompleteFTP irrespective of SFTP or HTTPS client used to transfer files?

No. Key based authentication can be used, or password or both depending on the protocol. This can be changed in settings and sites.
Password authentication can also be implemented through simple .NET Authentication extensions (see here)

9- Please provide some documentation about infrastructure setup in a distributed environment, load balancing and high availability features.

Someone else requested this mid last year and we added support for it. I'm not sure which version it was added, but it's definitely in the current version 8.5.1. There's no visible change in the user-interface, but a new configuration of rules is supported.

Here's how I described it to our tester:

The way that this requirement can be realized by the admin is that they set precedence to 'allow before deny' and then add two rules for each restricted user: one to deny all access from all addresses for that user, and the other to allow access from one specific address for that user. This can be done in the IP filtering dialog box.

CompleteFTP developer here: One way to do this would be to add an item to the user context menu labelled "Add another user like this". This would create another user with a different user-name, but all properties copied from the selected user.

What do you think of this? Would it work well?
